Stakeholders

Daresbury Science & Innovation Campus Ltd was established on 18th September 2006 and its board includes representatives from each of the following six stakeholder organisations:

Daresbury SIC aims to contribute to the stakeholders’ strategies in each of the following broad areas:

  • Enhancing the Northwest’s reputation as a world-class centre of scientific innovation and entrepreneurial excellence
  • Increasing government-funded and privately funded investment into scientific research in the Northwest
  • Increasing the level of high skills science and technology jobs in Halton Borough and the Northwest
  • Securing significant “Big Science” investment into the Northwest, which would otherwise go elsewhere
  • Providing tangible evidence of an improvement in knowledge transfer between the STFC/universities and businesses, through physical proximity and enhanced networking
  • Providing tangible evidence of an increase in business/research and council/academia collaborations, and of the added gross value/high skills jobs this creates
  • Increasing and improving access to STFC/university facilities and expertise to enhance innovation capabilities for campus based businesses
